For several years I worked in a customer/client focused work arena leading a training and development team.  I found that I absolutely loved helping people to develop new skills and see the excitement in their faces when the lightbulb went on and they "got it”!  Then after almost 10 years, the Universe presented me, smack in the face, with another way of fulfilling my passion in what had become a hobby for me over the previous 18 months, which was supporting women through the childbirth process!  

After hearing some horrible stories from a few people I knew and were close with, I was now terrified of childbirth and the unknown. So I began reading, learning, asking questions and helping others to understand and ask those questions themselves.  It doesn’t have to be this way, I thought!  I always believed that knowledge was power. It’s the unknown that’s scary.

So, I moved into becoming certified as a professional Child Birth Assistant and Educator in private practice.  It was an amazing experience and I was passionate about empowering women through this most incredible, beautiful process of bringing a new soul into the world!  

After a few years, and now having 2 of my own children, which made it a challenge to be on call 24/7 especially as a single parent, I returned to the corporate world. I also began the journey of truly finding myself, discovering who I was, what I needed and what filled my soul.

I spent several more years either leading HR teams or being an individual HR Manager and Consultant supporting people and organizations (Board Members, VP’s, Managers, and employees) specializing in Employee Relations, Change Management,Training and Development and Leadership. While I really enjoyed the corporate world, it became very clear to me that my passion was in supporting and empowering others, through their life challenges and seeing the positive impact in return. The Universe repeatedly sent me people who were dealing with PTSD, people who were dealing with domestic violence, physical, emotional and/or mental abuse, people who were struggling to value themselves and see themselves as “okay” or “enough”.

I know, through my own personal experiences with all of these, that finding someone who you feel you can trust and who truly understands what you are experiencing can be a challenge.  It can make the difference between healing and not healing.

I also knew that I had not survived and endured all that I had so far, only for my own life lessons. I was meant to share, comfort, guide and protect others who were struggling with things within their own life journey. I recognized I must also continue to learn and grow within myself, for this purpose. 

As Human Beings, I believe that most of the challenges that are presented to us during our lifetime are simply important soul life lessons.  I also believe that we all have the ability to work through them, overcome and learn from them. Sometimes we just need guidance and support to find our own answers within. 

As a woman who survived and is consistently healing myself, I now focus my time empowering others who may need that person who understands their story, who may need that support, and guidance, as a Certified Intuitive Life and Empowerment Coach.
